Reception Seating

Office reception armchairs are important because this is a civilised country and we’re known for our good manners. We like to look after our customers, and they expect to be treated well. The least we can do is give them something decent to sit on. It is vitally important to think about the reception seating experience and not just plonk any old stuff there as an afterthought. Your premises might be palatial or might be quite modest, but at least it should be welcoming, and nothing says welcome like a comfortable chair.

It is relatively easy to have them saying something like, “They were a bit busy, and I had to wait a while but the reception seating area’s nice and they gave me a cup of coffee.” It’s a question of attitude on the part of the business: making visitors feel good, because you are taking up part of their day and you want it to be a good part. The chair you give them to sit on can be stylish or purely practical, upholstered in textile or leather-look material. It has to be sturdy and comfortable – those are non-negotiable.

A happily waiting customer is a more easily pleased customer, expecting a good experience once the short wait is over. Keeping somebody waiting is never a good thing, but if it has to happen, at least you can lessen the inconvenience by making them feel good with some nice top office chairs.
